I hope everyone had a merry christmas, happy chaunukah, joyous kwanzaa, or whatever other holidays there are out there... I did. I'm not going to bore everyone with what I got, but overall, I would rate it a good christmas.

I didnt do much on the 24th after I left work. In fact, some might say I did absolutely nothing! I was just chillin' there, watching tv at around 10:30 or so, getting ready to fall asleep when I get a call from a couple of my friends. One was drunk and the other was driving her around, so they stopped by my house and we went around looking at christmas lights. It was actually pretty scary. They have these scary new christmas decorations, check it: Its like this wire-frame deer type thing with lights all over it, and the kicker is, IT MOVES!!! The friggin thing looks at you, its straight out of a horror movie. Anyways, that was that, yesterday was christmas, pretty self explanatory, I didnt do much of anything.

I found out a few of the bands on this years warped tour, and goddammit, its gonna be awesome. Bad Religion, NOFX, No Use For A Name, Alkaline Trio and Ozma. Its gonna be rad, I am especially stokin' about being able to see Bad religion twice in one year, duder.

One more thing before I get back to "spacing out" here at my desk, I gotta talk about this stupid friggin commercial I have seen the last few days. Its the ones Lexus has been putting out trying to get people to buy Lexus' for their family as a christmas present. The part that really pisses me off is the very last part of it. It shows these two parents with their teenage daughter sitting at the dinner table. The dad goes in this real fatherly tone "Well, we got you a new CD player..." and he opens up the drapes to show the new $45,000 Lexus he has just bought his stupid fucking teenage daughter. Jesus H. Christ, I want to punch something/someone every time I see that. If I ever had the money to just go ahead and buy my kid a Lexus, the thought wouldnt even cross my mind. Kids who have really expensive shit like that bought for them have absolutely no real life skills as far as dealing with money and then grow up expecting everything to be bought for them, just like daddy used to. I can understand wanting your kid to have a good car that they wont have to worry about fixing or anything, but no kid needs a goddamn lexus. Buy em a toyota or something. Or better yet, let them buy their own fucking car!!

Its kinda funny what gets me all riled up... some dad buying his daughter a car... hahahhaha... whatever

In the words of Tyler Durdin (fight club):

Happy holidays to everyone! I am in a pretty good mood at the moment. I dont know, the last few weeks have been really great for me. This weekend, Danny was in town here in SD, so we hung out on saturday night. Me and danny and a couple other friends went out to this bonfire on the beach. Those are always sketchy, no matter where you are if you are drinking (or shrooming/rolling, as was the case for a lot of the kids there). So we get there and find that we are easily the oldest people in the group of mostly high-schoolers/college freshmen. I pretty much hung out with the people I knew/liked talking to. Every once in a while this one punk ass guy (most likely under the influence of something) kept walking up to us and talking to us and shit. I dont have a problem with most random people, I am pretty tolerant of most anything. But for some reason, I really really really wanted to knock this guy out. It would have felt so good just to clock this guy. hahahha. But I resisted the urge to punch the guy, and soon enough, we left. It was fun talking to the 4 people I knew and hadnt talked to in a while, but other than that, I can do without high-school drama.

So yesterday morning, two of my best friends and two other guys I am friends with went up to Magic Mountain in lovely Valencia, CA. It was a really great day to go. There were almost NO LINES for any of the rides, the exception being Deja Vu, the newest open ride. I say newest open ride because they have a newer one, X, but they are still testing it to make sure it wont kill anyone. Anyways, so we went immediately to Goliath, the best rollercoaster in the park, hands down. We walked right up to the car, waited in line for like 5 minutes, and got on the coaster. Then, we got off, and turned right back around and rode the thing again. The line was so short and the ride is so great we couldnt resist. So that was cool. Then we went to riddler's revenge, another EXCELLENT roller coaster. Since there was pretty much no line at all for that one too, we waited to get to the very front of the thing. It was so worth it. I have concluded that riding in the front of rollercoasters that hang below the track is the greatest thing ever. hahaha. Anyways, so we rode that, then a couple more rides, then we went to wait in line for Deja Vu. It was an hour and a half wait, but it was such a great roller coaster. They send you backwards up this completely vertical track, then drop you, and you go through a couple loops/corkscrews, then you go up an identical vertical track, only this time you are going the other way, and you go through the same loops/corkscrews only this time you are going through backwards. It was scary as shit, which means it was a great ride. All in all, a great trip to magic mountain.

So when I got home, I called up Sara. I dont know if any of you remember who this girl is, but she is the girl I met a couple weeks ago at a party and I really like her a lot. So anyways, I called her up and we talked for a good hour and a half. It put me in a really good mood. She has all the things I am looking for in a girl: smart, funny, independent, fun-loving, not overly (or at all) religious, the list goes on and on. Anyways, enough of my babbling, I am sure you will read more about her in the next few months...

I finished all my christmas shopping in ONE DAY last saturday. It was excellent. I friggin HATE going shopping during the holidays, so I figured I would go get it all done in one day. I still havent wrapped anything though... I'll save that for christmas morning :)

Well, I am working a half day today, and then I have a paid day off for christmas, then its back to work for 2 weeks before school gets back up and running! Talk to you all in a few days, and have yourselves a happy holiday season!

Matt's Suggested CD

The process of belief by Bad Religion

It doesnt even come out until Jan 22nd, but I am already pumped up about it from hearing the tracks I have downloaded. And on top of that I hear that Bad relgion is going to be touring with Less than jake and hot water music. That will be such a rad show. I seriously CANNOT wait for that one to come to town.

Before I start, I completely forgot to mention one of the coolest things about last weekend. So saturday night my friends and I are sitting around doing JACK SHIT, so we decide to go get some mexican food. As we are driving back, we see this street called "Matty ct.". Being extremely simple people, we were dumbfounded by the fact that there was a street with my name on it. We were already in a punk rock mood from earlier in the night when we went around unplugging christmas lights. So we got the bright idea to steal the street sign. So we drove down in my friend shannon's jeep grand cherokee thinking the thing would fit inside the damn thing. We get down to the sign, and it looks like it will be a pain in the ass to get out of the ground. As we are about ready to give up, I noticed that the ground was still kinda wet from the rains a few days before. So I just walk up to it and push it really hard. I eventually rocked it enough to get it up out of the dirt and into the bushes where we were gonna hide it until we could get my friend dennis's dad's truck to come pick it up. So we go get the truck, put this huge sign into the back and drive up to his house. As it turns out, the city doesnt exactly make it "easy" to remove the sign from the signpost. In fact, it took all of dennis and my combined engineering prowess to figure out how to remove the stupid bolts holding the sign on. One we were able to get out, but the other was so rusted on we couldnt get it off, so I just broke the fucking thing off. So long story short, after about 3 hours of work on the thing we finally removed the sign AND disposed of the evidence without waking up dennis's parents/brother/sister. It was a sucess.

Speaking of sucess, I got my grades for fall quarter yesterday, check this shit out:

EE 325 -- B-
EE 365 -- B
Dynamics -- B+
Bio 213 -- A
Engr 213 -- A
Poly Sci -- A-

GPA: 3.45

I was more than happy with this, but at the same time, I was only 0.05 away from deans list. I blame it on my excessive concert patronnage this quarter. I regret nothing though. If I hadnt have gone to the TOOL concert on halloween in San Diego, I would have known that there was a midterm the next wednesday in Poly Sci, and I would have been able to raise my A- to a flat out A. Or if I hadnt have gone to the incubus concert and then waited afterwards to meet the band, I would have been able to study more/be less tired for my EE 325 midterm and would have gotten an A in that class. But what the fuck ever, I did damn good this quarter.

In case you havent gotten bored of my innane bullshit, heres some more:

I got my hair cut for real yesterday. In other words, my w-afro (white man's afro) is almost gone. It was just getting too white trash for my taste. Never fear though, my hair isnt that short, just enough to not piss me off. Anyways, I keep trying to do this post while I am working, and both are going extremely slow, so I am going to finish this sucker up.

May the force be with you...always

Well well well.... these last few days have been friggin crazy! I'm telling ya man. So after all the craziness on saturday night in SLO, I set off to go back down to sweet home San Diego. Actually, I consider San Luis Obispo my home, and San Diego is just a really nice place I go vist where I have some friends and family. But I digress... So yeah, I am driving down through LA, no problems, just cruising along, thinking about all kinds of stuff. Then I hit some traffic in long beach. I came to almost a complete stop, and when I go to put my car into 1st gear it wont let me put it into gear. It was almost like I was trying to grind the gears, but the thing was I wasnt doing that. It was kinda scary too, cus I was in the fast lane at the time. Lucky for me, I thought for a second, turned off my car, thus turning off any hydraulics in my transmission and allowing me to put the damn thing in gear, then re-started the car, and drove off. When I had to shift into second, I had to repeat the whole turn off the car, put it into second and re-start the car procedure. It was crazy. I tried to shift it into third gear after a while, and the thing shifted "like it aint no thing", and since then has given me absolutely no problems. It was like a gremlin got in there and was trying to mess with me or something. BAH. So that was fun. But not nearly as fun as the last two days. For the last two days, 4 of my best friends from san diego and I went on a snowboarding/skiing trip up to Snow Summit in Big Bear, California. I had never been snowboarding/skiing in my life, in fact, I had only seen snow maybe 6 or 7 times in my life, and have never seen it actually snow. So anyways, we showed up there and got right down to it. My two good friends who were snowboarding and had been a few times before took me onto the bunny slopes (the practice area essentially) and taught me the basics of keeping your weight on the trailing edge of your board and turning and stopping and all that good stuff. I caught on really quick from what they told me. So we went over to the easiest real slope run. So the first couple of times down it I was falling on my ass/face/arms frequently. But despite all that I was having the time of my life. It was great. To top it all off, by the end of the 1st day I was able to carve down the hill without falling once. In fact, at the very end of the first day we went back down to the bottom of the hill by taking a "intermediate course" and I only fell twice. Both the falls were pretty crazy though. The first one was as I was carving down the hill. I hit a really rough icy part, caught my edge on one of the bumps and went flying head-first down the hill like superman. The last one was rad though. I was at the very bottom, slowing down, and as I was almost coming to a stop, I saw my friend coming in the same direction as I was coming, so I kinda panicked and did something wierd which caused me to catch my edge again and go flying. This time I was at the bottom where they have these plastic net type things to kinda make a barrier around the ski-area. Yeah, so I flew right through one of those in the air! I would have loved to see it on camera or something. Would have been friggin great. But all in all, I was extremely proud of myself for being able to do what I did on my first day of snowboarding. The only thing that sucked about the first day was how sore I got. Snowboarding requires the use of muscles you never use in real life, and on top of those being really sore, my left leg was really hurting cus some dumb bitch plowed her board into me on the last run down the hill. It was totally her fault too, cus she was coming from behind me right as I was turning from frontside to backside. But anyways, that night I took some ibuprofin got in the spa for an hour and drank a few beers and I was good to go the next morning for our last day on the mountain. After a few warm up runs, i got back into my form from the day before and started to work up the courage to try a few jumps. After falling quite a few times, I actually landed like 2 or 3 decent jumps. That was easily the highlight of the trip. After that we went to some downhill runs. The people I went with were nuts, so they wanted to go to the Black diamond runs (black diamond = 1 step below expert). So I tried a couple of those and on two out of the three I didnt fall at all! All in all, I had some of the most fun I have ever had, and I cannot wait to go again. I want to get a group of Cal Poly people together to make a trip down there sometime in february or march. It was sooooo much fun. I would highly recommend it to everyone who has never gone before.

Anyhew, that was my last few days and nights, and now I am at work slacking off as usual. Hope everyone is doing well, and I will probably be posting more regularly for the next few weeks. Talk to everyone later

Wow, I was starting to wonder if I even remembered how to post, what with my whole not posting for 2 weeks! Sheizer! Anyhew, I have not been posting for numerous reasons, the most notable of which is last week was finals week, and I HAD to do good on my finals to get alright grades. So I was studying my ass off the week before last and this whole week to ensure I do good on the finals. It was kinda depressing though, I studied SOOOO much for my dynamics final. I mean shit, the night before and the day of the final I probably put in a good 12-15 hours of pure "study-age". I figured I needed it with some of the topics in that god-awful class. But anyways, after all that studying, I went and took the flibbin final and what do you know... some of the problems are horrendous. I think the only thing that will save me now is grader leniancy (or an act of jebus himself !!). So the next day was my poly sci final. That in itself wasnt a big deal... I mean cmon, its a goddamn GE for christs sake. What was the BITCH was the requirement for the class was a 10 page term paper. Holy crap, I dont know if any of you all realize it, but engineers hardly EVER have to write term papers. In fact, in college I have written exactly 5 essays previous to this one, and none were more than 2 pages. So I had to work for a good week to get myself psyched up enough to write the friggin thing, another week to actually write the majority of it, and another week to review my writting and make corrections. Thats a good months investment of time. What was funny is that a couple of my friends in the class are business majors, and write term papers all the time, so they cranked theirs out in like a day. hahaha... wankers! Anyway, so Justin and Danny and I drank that night (do I even need to mention danny, it pretty much a given that he is drinking) to celebrate them being done and me only having one more final. So ALL DAY thursday I was studying for my last final, which was my one EE class. The class seriously did not warrant the amount of studying i did for it, but I was so determined to not fuck up on the final like I did on the last midterm that I went overboard and studyed all day for that piece of junk. So yeah, I took the test, it went really well, and I am anxious to see my grades. I guess the main point of the story here is:

CORKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I am getting ready to drive back down to good ol San Diego for 3 weeks of work and friends. I am looking ofrward to seeing all my friends and above all making some friggin money... I am so dirt poor its ridiculous. I cant even imagine what life would be like if I hadnt have worked last quarter. Actually, there is a point to this for all you people that are still reading this... Since I will be at work, I will probably be posting more frequently for the next 3 weeks or so.... Look for a post this coming wednesday, my first day of work.

Until then....

whew! I was pretty fuckin faded last night huh? Man, that was a lot of fun though. All day I was writing a 10 page term paper for my Political Science class which is due in 10 days and I have been putting it off for the entire quarter, so I have to get my shit together and crank it out. Lemme tell you, this is maybe the 4th or fifth paper I have had to write in the 3 years I have been at Cal Poly, and all my previous ones have been like 1 page, 2 MAX. So this 10 page thing is taking a long damn time. Anyways, back to the subject, so I was doing that ALL DAY pretty much. Last night was unprecedented, there were 2 Parties we were invited to. The first one was a cocktail party at our friends house. It was pretty fun, but not as fun as it could have been cus they wouldnt let us bring nay of our friends. That was a good thing in one sense cus it meant more alcohol for everyone, but it kinda sucked cus I knew maybe half the people there. But that was just the "pre-party" anyways. The real party was after the cocktail party. We left and drove over to this house one of Danny's friends lives in. I guess it was his birthday or something, I dont remember, cus by the time we got there I had downed a couple cocktails and was doing pretty damn good. They had free beer/alcohol and a dance-floor. The strange thing about it was they were playing country music and like Def Lepard style butt-rock music. By the time they played dance music I was extremely drunk (as you can tell by the last post). I met this girl named Sara, who at the time seemed pretty cool, but who knows with the way the drunk mind works. So anyways, I got her number and am going to call her on tuesday (3 day rule, i'm money!). Hopefully she isnt too crazy. Notice how I said TOO crazy. Every female is at least a little crazy, some more so than others. hahaha... Anyways, that was last night. Now its back to typing a paper and doing dynamics homework all day. YAY!

Well I am back on my friday post day routine for the time being, but who knows how long it will last, what with finals and winter break and me being lazy and shit...

This week was pretty cool. On Tuesday night Incubus played at the rec center here in good ol' San Luis Obispo. This was a momentous occasion because (a)Big bands harly ever come to town, and (b) Big bands I really like a lot NEVER come to SLO. So needless to say I went, despite the fact that I had been to about 4 or 5 concerts in the last month and a half. hahaha. Whatever. But yeah, it was a rad show. The opening band was called Onesidezero. I was very impressed with them. Everything they played had some substance to it, and sounded pretty good. After the show, my friends and I waited out back for the band to come out. This was, BY FAR, the coolest part of the night. After waiting out in the cold (it had to have been 40 degrees and me in a sweat drenched shirt and pants), we finally met/talked with/got autographs from all the members of incubus, and 3 of the guys from Onesidezero. I got a picture of me with Brandon Boyd from incubus. I'll post it when I get it developed. All in all, it was a great experience. I dont think any of the other stuff would have happened at any other venue, which is reason number 563 why SLO is awesome.

I gave my 1 week's notice at the Ford dealership today. I dont know if any of you have had to quit a job, but its a pain in the ass to do it the right way. I mean, sure, anyone can just not go and get fired, but giving notice and trying to track people down to tell them you are quitting was a fucking royal pain in the ass for me. But whatever, its over with on December 6th, then I take finals, then I go back to San Diego for 3 weeks of full time work, and maybe a snowboarding trip stuck in there somewhere. Hopefully I will have the money to go cus right now I am DIRT POOR.

Not much else is going on. All I know is I am going to be making some stuffed bell peppers for dinner tonight, and later am going to be gettin my drink on, hopefully being surrounded by ladies which I can attempt to pimp. HAHAH... yeah right! I think I will be drinking tonight though.

catch everyone later

Well, I am sure everyone is wondering what the hell happened to the infamous friday post huh? Well the last couple of weeks I have been either gone on friday, or in the process of leaving on friday. The week before last, I went down to San Diego to go see Pennywise and Guttermouth at Cox Arena. It was so awesome. My friends and I had tickets for the seats, which we figured would make the show less fun. But midway through guttermouth, the entire stands it seemed like rushed the floor. So, since I am a relatively big guy, I pushed my way to the floor. It made the show so much better. Guttermouth friggin rocked, and I was so pumped up from getting on the floor, I lost it in the pit. I almost lost my brand new shoes too, but with some quick goat thinking I saved it from entering the abyss known as the floor of cox arena. But yeah, Guttermouth kicked a lot of ass, but not nearly as much ass as pennywise did. My god. they started out with the piano tribute from Unkown Road that sent chills down my spine, played almost every song I wanted to hear, including my absolute favorite pennywise song, Living for today. They were taking requests from the fans, and played for what seemed like forever. The best part of it all was when they played Bro Hymn though. The ENTIRE floor was a big pit. if you go to Pennywisdom.com they have a home video of it. If you look in the giant circle of moshers you might be able to see me! hahahha

Anyways, last weekend I went down to San Diego for the third time in the last month, and although it was fun, I have a lot more fun up here in SLO. About the only reason for me to go down to SD now is to see all my friends and family.

OH... I almost forgot... the one funny thing about the whole trip was on saturday, my friend and I were out "cruising the town" and stopped at the 99-cent store in good ol El Cajon. If anyone has ever been there, you understand the entertainment value the place has to offer. But anyways, we were walking the food isle (yes, the 99-cent store did have food, even meat!) and found this stuff called "sangria soda". I like Sangria wine, and I like soda, so I figured this would be a smash hit. Think again! This was the absolute WORST DRINK EVER!!! Holy crap, it tasted like pure carbonated ass! anyways, let this serve as a warning to anyone considering purchasing said drink.

Well I am sorry this isnt a full post, but I have a midterm on wednesday and a concert (Incubus) to go to on tuesday. Hopefully we will get to meet the guys in the band. That would be rad. I am not counting on it... something is gonna happen... im sure of it. Anyways, who knows when the next post will be, maybe friday, maybe later, maybe earlier.

Well I do believe it is time for a late friday post.

Last week was pretty craaaaazy, if your definition of crazy is doing lots of homework and working at a ford dealership. hahahah. But anyways, I am not going to go into too much detail on the week except to highlight a cool things. On monday I watched the WRC race from france. If any of you are race fans and havent ever watched rally racing before, you are missing out on some excellent racing. These guys are going on these narrow mountain road going around 45 degree turns at sometimes triple digit speed. A couple of the guys went off the ege of the road and went flying into a gulley... It was a crazy crash... luckily they build those cars tougher than a tank, so no one got hurt. Anyways, that was the highlight of monday. I got a dollar tip at work on tuesday, which is chump change when youa re getting 20 dollar tips, but hey, money is money you know. Lets see, I dont remember anything about wednesday, which means I either did too much free-basing and blacked out in a coke-induced rampage, or I just didnt do anything unusual. My guess is the latter, but who knows. Thursday consisted of me working out with my friend justin and being really weak due to my infection with the common cold. Yesterday, on the other hand, was radically bodacious. I was buying some hair gel at Rite Aid and I happened to notice the sunglass rack. In said rack I found a pair of Aviator mirrored sunglasses, which I promptly brought to the cash register operator (some call them "clerks") and exchanged money for their goods and/or services. Basically, I bought the glasses. hahaha. Anyways, so I was wearing those around campus. Last night danny and I went to Gary's house for a little dart/poker/high-low/blackjack/crazy made up games by gary designed for him to take all our money/male bonding night type thing. I left having broke even, but we had quite a few people who werent so fortunate. hahahah. Anyways, I crashed there last night and tried to go play football with a few of my friends this morning, but I couldnt find any of them, so i came home and went a few rounds of 301 on danny's new dartboard. First, let me say how much a bastard this dartboard's cybermatch program is. Danny played against the cyber match a couple times and dominated that piece of shit. It would be hitting like 1's, 3's, & 4's all the time. Then I get in, and all of a sudden, the thing is hitting double digit numbers consistently. I think one round here was its scoring sequence : TRIPLE-18, 20, 17. It was ridiculous. Needless to say I havent beaten it yet, but soon enough it will be mine. I refuse to leave tonight until I make that fucking thing my bitch. Whether its my bitch broken in half in the garbage can or jus tby my beating it, it will be my bitch. Fuckin cybermatch.

Anyways, enough of that, If I dont post next friday you all will kow its because I had to kill myself from the embarassment of losing to this fucking cybermatch bastard fuck repeatedly.

I dont have much really relevant to socially blog, but I am reading your blogs and will probably do most of my social bloggin in your respective guestbooks.

Next weekend is the big Pennywise, Guttermouth, Face to Face, No Use For A Name, and one other band show in San Diego, which means I will be heading down that way after classes on friday. I cant wait. Then its thanksgiving break three days after that, and then a couple weeks after that the cancerous tumor that is this quarter is OVER. And I get to go home for a month, then back to Poly for one of the hardest 12 units I will ever have. HAHAHA.... Good ol junior year!

OK, I am out of here, gotta take a shower (picture that one in your mind) and do jack shit today. Peace outtie all y'all suckas, triqs, and ho's!

Friday = Post Day!

This week was fantastic! As most all of you know (since everyone who reads my blog reads Danny's web log) We went to see AFI on tuesday night. I am not going to recap the whole night because danny already did a fine job of that (plus i got another show to recap later). But here are a few of my highlights: Getting lost in Oakland. That had to have been the highlight of the trip right there. Oakland is a lovely city, perfect for a leisurely midnight walk with your loved one. I would recommend it highly to anyone who is really looking forward to getting mugged. Seeing AFI play Perfect Fit, God called in Sick today, the lost souls, total immortal, and every other song they played. Perfect Fit was the first song i ever heard by AFI a couple of years ago and I still think its one of their best songs. I didnt get to see them play that at warped tour this year, so I was stokin' to see them play that, among all the other songs they played. Jabbing Crowd Surfers with a Drum-stick. I dont know about anyone else, but I FUCKING HATE CROWD SURFERS!!!! They are the lowest form of concert goer, slightly below the guys who start up "testosterone pits" (you know, the ones where the bands music isnt conducive to moshing or anything, yet these big dumb jock types just go to beat on each other and the people who actually are into the music. But anyways, back to crowd surfers. These assholes go and float on the top of the crowd towards the front where people have their backs turned to them. You are listening to a band play a semi-slow song and all of a sudden... BAM!! Some fuck head hits the back of your neck almost breaking it. It pisses me off worse than anything. So during the AFI show, the opening band's drummer threw one of his drumsticks into the crowd after their set, so I picked it up and saved it for AFI's set. THen when the cretins started crowd surfing and hitting the back of my neck, I started jabbing them with my drumstick. It was great. I need to start bringing weapons into shows. hahhaha. Overall, the show simply amazing, and get's Matt's Seal of approval as the best show I had ever seen...

That is, it was the best show I had ever seen until Halloween night, when I drove down to san diego to see my most favorite band of all time TOOL. Let me tell you, trying to top the AFI show was a tough job, and for me, the only band who stood a chance at doing it was TOOL. They played almost their entire new CD, which was about the only downside for me, because I was hoping to hear some stuff off of Undertow (my favorite TOOL cd at the moment), a couple of songs off of Aenima, and my All time favorite tool song... of all time.... Opiate. Dont get me wrong I think Lateralus is an absolutely amazing CD and was perfectly content with hearing them play most of the songs off it, but I really really really wanted to hear opiate. Anyways, The set was crazy, they had these two big video screens that played animations and shit in coordination with the songs, they had the two animal like creatures from their video for Schism come out when they played the song (If anyone has seen the video you know what I am talking about), and they did this crazy drum solo that kinda followed the song Triad. A couple of the guys from Tricky (the opening band), did some stuff on a few songs with tool and overall, it was THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I dont know how anything can top it... I really dont.

So now after my marathon two day trip up and down california's coast to see two shows, I am tired and kinda sick. But I feel it was well worth it.

Not much else happened in the week, I got an A on my EE midterm, and I missed about 3 classes, one of which was a 4 hour poly-sci class on halloween night. Oh well! Anyways, I will leave y'all with these humorous search enginer referrals:

[1]% {06:35 p.m.}

Its Friday, and you all know what that means... Matt emerges from his hibernation to outline the week: Here goes nothing....

Monday - I went to school, had an officer's meeting for IEEE, came home and cooked dinner. "dinner" being the ultimate college meal: Microwaved cheddarwurst and soup hahahah. Niiiice and unhealthy. Whats funny is I have taken to eating cheddarwusrt or Beef hot link sandwiches instead of real meals, especially when I dont have time to cook like a full meal. Luckily I have started to resume working out on a semi regular basis. Maybe that will counter my imminent weight gain... hahaha... OH YEAH! I almost forgot... on monday night was the World Rally Championships race in italy I believe. God do I love rally racing. Its got it all, driver skill, rad cars, crashes, and of course Imprezas. hahahah. Whats funny is that the top three or four cars were Peugots. I wouldnt have thought they would be kicking ass like they do. Anyways, that was really cool.

Tuesday - Got up and went to work really early (8 am) and found out that the BMW dealership (they also sell new used cars) just got my absolute dream car at the moment: an Audi S4 Quattro with dark blue paint job, black leather seats, power everything, tinted windows, nice wheel and tire set, and I am sure countless other things I am missing. I know because I spent a good 20 minutes of "on the job" time to go walk across the street and drool over the thing. I can tell right now that it is gonna be quite distracting. After that I got home and studied for my Biology test which proceeded to pound me into submission. The only good thing about the day was the new Incubus CD came out...more on that later

Wednesday - I took my EE midterm which, results pending, I was pleased with. It was only 2 problems and I knew how to do both of them. Poly Sci was at 6 pm. It was excessively boring. I dont know if I have said anythign about that class before, but it is kinda funny. Its tought by the mayor of SLO. He is a pretty smart man, but quite "out of it". He loves to repeat stories he told the week before. But this time was ridiculous. He told some story about a McDonalds in Pakistan and it couldnt have been an hour later and he RETOLD THE SAME FUCKING STORY. Its sheer lunacy. HAHA

Thursday - I Did the work thing again... blah blah blah. The coolest thing about the day is I got a 20 dollar tip from some lady. That makes my lifetime tip total 37 dollars. Whats funnier is that in the last 2 weeks I have gotten 35 bucks in tips, leaving 2 dollars in tips that I recieved in the previous 20 years. hahaha. At night we all went and saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which in my opinion is one of the most overrated movies of all time. I will admit that it has parts which are quite funny, but for the most part its not any funnier than any Kevin Smith movie, Waiting for guffman/Best in Show or even Office Space (a funny movie... I own it... I also own Best in Show sucker byatches)

Friday - Not much happened, other than the fact that I am tired as all hell. I went and got some stuff to spike my hair and dye it black for the impending AFI show! Thats gonna be kick ass. And then to top it off, the next day I get to see Tool playing ON HALLOWEEN in sweet home San Diego... I CANNOT WAIT!!!! Anyways, about tonight, If I were to make a prediction in this time sector, I would predict that it will be a non-party night. Pretty much the standard friday night fare... watching people play PS2, drinking casually at "the bar" and shooting the shit. Whatever, its good fun.

Well thats the week re-cap... next week's post is going to have some good shit in it. I would post after the two shows, but I know that I am going to be so friggin tired after all the driving that I am not going to want to do anything but sleep.

Couple of social blog post thing-a-ma-bobs (yes, I still do read what everyone is posting even though I dont post very often)

Congratulations on your brand new Kick ass boots!

Here it is!! The long awaited weekly post!!! Alls I know is today/this week/this whole goddamn quarter blows turkey nuts!

Sooooo... what have I been up to this week none of you will be asking yourselves (I am not going to kid myself). Well, I have been doing a lot of homework that I didnt end up getting very many right answers on, I have been going to work, getting up early pretty much every day of the week and today I got my ass drop-kicked by our Dynamics "quiz". I knew how to do everything on the stupid thing, but for some reason I was stuck for about 10 minutes. Then it clicked in my head and I started to crank the problem out fuckin Wolfie Berzerk style, but he called time on the test as I was mid-way through the second part of the three part problem. So basically, I got home, grabbed some pliers out of my tool box, and removed Dynamics' size 15 Hush Puppies out of my ass. If I hadnt had a brain fart for the first half of the test I would have destroyed that stupid thing. I guess its my fault for staying out late last night. Speaking of which, Danny, Kristina, and I went over to our friend's place and shot pool/the shit with them last night. It was fun... Then we decided to get a game of $5 a game pool going. Danny and I vs. two of the guys who live at the house. It started off really well, danny and I were up $10 bucks after the first two games. However, we proceded to lose the next two games and won the last game on a technicality. As a result of the "technicallity" we altered the bet to the point that if we won, no one owed anyone anything. So thats what happened. I personally didnt need the money, but danny is officially broke as a joke, so that kinda sucked for him... Afterwards, we went and had some Taco Bell. There is no better late night snack than Taco Bell... let me tell you... 90% of the time, the stuff tastes like recycled rat meat covered with cheese and lettuce, but they must put crack in the meat at night or something.

OK, That was entirely too long of a paragraph... I am a long-winded bastard... hehehehe...

I found out a couple days ago that Pennywise is playing in San Diego on Nov. 17th with Guttermouth, No Use for a Name, and Face to Face. That is going ot be a kick ass show... and guess who is gonna be there!! Boo YAH!

I have a couple funny search enginer referrals and then some social blog posts left here....

I can honestly say that your new layout is the best wild pink Zoro layout I have ever seen.... Well done!!

Gotta love Stupid High School Idiots. People who pull that kind of stupid shit might be laughing now, but in 10 years you will see who is laughing. You will be graduated from college with a good degree making loads of money, and they will still be stuck in high school, in their 7th year at a JC working at an amusement park cleaning up puke in the play balls. At least that is how it would work in a perfect world... hahaha.... Anyways, moral of the story, public education and its countless Lack-wit morons can go to hell.

I look forward to reading your essays!

Get out of here with that nonsense! You are quite an intelligent girl, quite an able and dare I say talented writer, and about the farthest thing from a valley girl. If anything I would consider my own blog a fairly shallow piece of "e-writing" with all my incessant bull-shit. Cheer up!

T-minus 16 days till AFI, 17 days to Tool....

Thats right folks, in a scant few days I will be on my way to San Francisco to see AFI with my hair dyed black and spiked, and the next day down to San Diego to see Tool. I cannot WAIT for those two days... Its gonna be so very great.

Last night (and firday night) were pretty cool, although, sadly, my mission (to find myself a "lady friend") failed. It wasnt for lack of effort though... I was mingling and dancing and whatnot but I just wasnt feeling it. On firday night, however, I met a couple really cool girls... one of which was named sachorro or something of that nature, but she was not asian at all... It was interesting, considering her name is japanese. She told me her mom was full japanese. Anyways, long story short, we met about 5 minutes before she had to go... I am still kicking myself for not getting her number, but I am sure there will be others. The main thing for me this weekend was to get myself out of my lethargic attitude towards pursuing females. I think in that sense, mission accomplished.

Anyways, before I perform a full psychoanalytic analysis of myself, I think I will go on to other matters...

I got a 15 dollar tip at work on saturday for washing, cleaning, detailing some guy's 1995 Ford Bronco really well. I would have done it just as well even if he wasnt going to tip me because his bronco was my dream car. It had the full 6 inch lift with big ass mud-bogger tires (COMPLETELY unneccesarry for anywhere but in the bayou, yet they look cool as shit), lots of other shit, blah blah blah.... I drove it around for a little while too, just to "dry it off" hahaha.

If you look at my previous post, it goes into some detail about the Audi S4 I had Neal buy for me in his Gran Turismo 3 game. Well on friday after class, I went over to my friend clarence's place and screwed around in GT3 to the point where I could buy an S4 and trick it out. So I did just that, and I was right, the thing is kick ass.

Anyways, I got all kinds of reading and whatnot to do today, so I will have to catch everyone later.... ackam-a-sockem!

OK, well I have been getting a lot of shit from certain people who will remain Nameless about my lack of "postage" on good ol' E-rant. All I can say is chalk that one up to lack of time and an abundance of laziness, that and the fact that our internet works for like 3 minutes a day on average. haha. But yeah, whenever I have the time to post I have something I should be doing instead, or I just plain dont feel like doing crap after 6 hours of moving oil, picking up oil rags, parking cars and driving cop cars around. hahaha.

Anyways, like always, there isnt all that much to talk about here... I got back from my Poly-Sci class, which is supposed to be 4 hours, but he cut it down to 3 hours, and usually only talks for about 2.5 hours. But it is still rough. There is only so much talking one can take. Today was great (read: I wanted to shoot myself in my knee-caps with a revolutionary war musket). He loves to tell stories about random stuff, and today he repeated three stories which he has managed to tell the last two weeks. The SAME EXACT STORY!! Its completely unnecesarry. One of the stories was about how if you are on a ship in the middle of the ocean, you are under the jurisdiction of the captain. Basically he makes the rules and can enforce them. But the funny thing was today, as he was telling it, he gets to the part about the captain, and some guy raises his hand, and asks really sarcastically "Is it the Captain?!!?" It was great, I was laughing my ass off. And the funny thing is that he will probably re-tell the story next week. Funny stuff. Whats funnier is this lack-wit (bringing back old southern terms) teacher is the Mayor of San Luis Obispo.

Now for a completely random topic change:

Neal is exceedingly rich in his Gran Turismo 3 game and is going to buy an Audi S4 for me. (I live vicariously through my friends' video games... hehehehe) Dark Blue, Quattro 4 wheel drive, etc... and soup it up. Until I read more on the S4, It was my number 3 favorite car, behind the Audi TT and, of course, the Ford Bronco Border Patrol version. But after reading the specs on it, and how it completely out performs a Subaru Impreza WRX and a BMW 300i class it has moved to number 2, almost rivaling the bronco but i just couldnt see fit to degrade such a fine automobile. (It kicks the CRAP out of the BMW in every category) On a side note, mad props out to Subaru for making such a quality vehicle with such a cheap price tag of about $25k. The Audi S4 just barely beat the WRX for about $40k more. Anyways, yeah, I cant say enough good things about the comeback Audi has made with their cars, and I really wish I owned an S4 right now. Who wants to buy me one?!?!

I got nothing else going on until the weekend, when I got MADDDDDDDDD shit to do. First on the list is make my resume for the upcomming High-Tech job fair. I really want to get a real internship/job this summer. Then comes mad homework and of course the quest for females. There is one girl I am kinda interested in, and will probably see if she wants to go and do something on saturday. She confuses me with her mixed signals. Sometimes she seems interested, other times she doesnt, also some people tell me she has a boyfriend back home, but I have never heard her say a word about him We shall see. But until my next post I shall bid you all adieu

Well, it has officially been quite a while since my last post, they keep getting more and more spaced out. Anyways, Not much happens of interest to me during the week other than the fact that I am busy from when I get up to when I go to bed... And I am tired as SHIT because I am quite hung-over from our big party here last night... speaking of which...

Our party was officially the SHIT! We had about 50 people or so over here and had SOOO much fun with everyone drinking and dancing and passing out really early cus they are too drunk (I was the only person who did the last one really... hehehe). But yeah, it was a complete success and we are going to have them every 6 weeks or so. Good clean fun (well maybe not so clean :) )

Speaking of me last night, I think the quote that sums up the night for me was made by Danny when he said "Matt, you arent gonna get drunk off of beer". All I gotta say is whattup boyee!!! Who was drunker than whom last night! hahahah. That in of itself is a rare occasion Matt drunker than his roomate... wow!

Whoa! What is this?!?? A post!?!? I'm scared... Anyways, since its been so long since my last post you would think a lot happened... but It has pretty much been go to sleep relatively early, go to either work or school and go back home. Most of the time on weekends, Danny and I go to the same places, so if anyone is really all that interested in what I have been up to you can probably find out there. But anyways, today was kinda cool... I came up with the idea of the century and implimented it today. Since parking on campus is such a pain in the ass, actually, scratch that... its not just a pain in the ass, its a Royal pain in the ass. Anyways, since it is quite hard/impossible to get a good parking spot, I decided to put my bike in the back of my car. Then I park wherever and ride into campus.... It is so great. I am going to do it from now on....

Has anyone noticed today's date 100101 is in binary, or am I the only one scoop enough to realize this. I took the time and figured out that 100101 = 37. Now, if you take that number, divide by the square root of 64, add 32 and multiply by 8, what do you get? Anyone? anyone? ....

69 DUDE!!!!!

Not much else is gonna come out of this post so I better stop. We are having a party this saturday, so I am going to try to make a drunk post that night.... Maybe a real one before that... but I dont forsee enough free time to make a legitimate post. We'll see. Talk to everyone later

Well its now officially the weekend for us Cal Poly folks... but wait, its only thursday. How can these dumb bastards be thinking its the weekend, you must be thinking to yourselves. Well normally, you would be right, but not this WEEKEND... on no... this weekend is Cal Poly's Centennial Celebration. Translation: All classes are cancelled on Friday, which means Matts done with school for the week. If anyone sat there and read through that paragraph explanation of why its the weekend, I would like to apologize. HAHAHA.

Anyways, If you havent noticed, Ol' Matty hasnt been posting as much as before (read: 3 posts a day during summer :) ) I am just too fucking busy with work and school and shit... and in my free time, I am too damn lazy to go and post regularly. It sucks, I know, but I am trying to make at least semi-regular posts. Anyways, today I found out my friend Ryan went and bought tickets for Incubus's Show here at the Cal Poly Rec Center for me cus he is a genuine STUD, and I met this really cool girl in my Biology class. I doubt anything will come of it, but who knows. Thats about the synopsis of my day. We are going to a pseudo-frat party tonight, but if the past is any indication, itll be a giant sausage fest, and they will give us mad shit just to get in cus we arent cool frat guys. Oh well, fuck em and the SUV their parents bought them. hahaha.

Someday you will be able to see AFI... BUT NOT NOW!! MWAHAHAHA. . . kidding. . .

Well I am back from work at the Ford dealership. I had to get up at the prime wake up time of 7:10 AM! WOO HOO!!! I got to drive a couple really cool cars too. One was a $60,000 Lincoln Town-car with leather and power everything. It was a thing of beauty. Another was a mini-bus, kinda like the shuttles car rental companies have at the airport. So those two were pretty bad-ass, but BY FAR the coolest car I got to drive was a brand new 2001 Police Interceptor Crown Victoria. The SLO county sheriff had just bought it and were having it checked out by our "Ford Certified SAE Mechanics" hahaha. But the main point of the story is the thing fucking HAULS ASS. I was only driving it around the parking lot, but when you hit the gas, the thing throws you into your seat. It was excellent. I also found out they have a power washer there, so I took full advantage of it and washed my own car... while I was on the clock. It too was excellent. hahah

The first day of school was yesterday, and my classes seem like they will be pretty cool. My EE class is FULL of dirty dirty scoops (kinda like hungry hungry hippos except they are hungry for magic cards) with their long scroungy hair and scrub beards. My ME class was pretty cool, its actually the same teacher as Danny has, like any of you care. But there are about 7 or 8 people I know in the class and a couple of fine ladies, so I will be having fun in there. My EE lab is all male, but I wasnt expecting any less than that to be honest. If there is more than one female in any EE class, us EE guys get figity, wondering if we are in the right class or not... hehehe... today is my Bio for Engineers class, so that should be at least semi-entertaining: Some scmuck teacher trying to pack all the excitement of a 5 unit bio class into a 2 unit class. hahahah.

The really shitty thing about yesterday was I went to go pick up my financial aid check, and found out that the financial aid office screwed up my paperwork, and now i have to re-turn it all in again. Its gonna be like a month and a half before I get my money, so It looks like matt is gonna be poor as SHIT until then. I really hope I get that money sooner than a month and a half though, cus I hate having to borrow money from my parents, which I might have to do if I dont get the check by the time october rent is due.

Anyways, now that Reins has made an awesome new layout (by the way... I like it a lot... well done) almost everyone on my blog list (with the exception of Neal, who still seems to be puzzled with the concept of linking people... hehehehe) has changed their blog layouts but me... I think it might be time to do a little scooping it up this weekend and make a bew blog layout. It wont be nearly as good as the one danny made for me. In fact, it will probably be extremely shitty, but I gotta cut the embilical cord sometime right? I am also going to try to get off my ass and get Scoopfest.com up and running... I have the main page pretty well designed, but the other stuff and comments will probably take a little longer.

Ok, thats all for Matty, I need to get my shit ready for class and whatnot... talk to everyone later
