Well, here it is, my last post from San Diego, and my last day/night in San Diego (for a while I'm guessing). Yup, I'm leaving tommorrow morning to head back home, and I cannot fuggin' wait. Its not that I dont like San Diego, cus that is simply not true, I am planning on moving back down here when I graduate. But godammit, there is so little to do when you are underage that you havent done like 50 times before. OH well, I guess I wont have to worry about it after march anyways. So anyways, I am here at work making up hours I have already been paid for. It kinda sucks, but its not like my work is hard or anything. AND, afer work I get to go to the San Diego Boat Show. If I havent made it PERFECTLY clear to anyone, Matt loves boats. If matt had enough money, Matt would buy a boat. If Matt knew how to write better, he wouldnt be referring to himself in the third person. So yeah, after the boat show, I think we are going to a party a bunch of Dennis's UCSD friends are having. I actually know a couple of these guys, and they are fuckin partiers. One of them actually drnak a handle of bacardi dark at this one party we were at. Just sat there and drank. It was the single greatest drinking feat I have ever seen accomplished. I'm sure it didnt hurt things that this guys is huge, but whatever. So yeah, we are going over there tonight, should be fun.
On a completely diffent topic, I got an e-mail yesterday with a fricking homework assignment!!! Yeah, thats right, I have homework before school even starts. Its just some reading, but thats not the point. This is a bad omen for the upcoming quarter. My guess is that there wont be a whole lotta free time that isnt consumed by heavy drinking to try and forget my horrendous quarter. hahaha. Oh well, welcome to engineering.
OK, thats all outta me, I gotta finish my work so I can get outta here at a decent time. Talk to everyone on monday maybe.

HAHAHAHA! The whole hanging out with yuppies is actually pretty funny now that I think about it. And I dont give a crap what you say, the Zoo is bomb ass! Your mom and I went last night. I bought her some peanuts and a hot dog(she kept going on about how she really needed a "hot beef injection"). Then, randomly, as we were looking at the elephants we made sweet love.
Anyway, in other news, I got new tires on my car finally. They were getting really bald. In fact, it was so bad that if there was any semblance of water on the ground my car would fish-tail like a mutha fucka. So yeah, I got 4 tires for 486 dollars. If anyone out there is contemplating getting a truck/suv with big tires, DONT DO IT! The added benefit of being able to go anywhere is not worth the 500 dollars you have to spend on tires. So I was really distraught about the whole ordeal when I happened to see out of the corner of my eye this pollock walk into the parking lot, shoot one of the technicians in the head, then shoot himself in the head.
Anyways, other than that, absolutely nothing went on. . . In fact, I was so bored I actually slipped into a state of limbo for a few hours. It was wierd, being trapped in a state of inexistence that is.
OK, I am confusing myself here, so I am out

How was everyone's new years? Fun and safe I hope...
Well I thought I was going to have a boring new years, what with the majority of my friends gone in tahoe, but it turned out pretty cool. I went with my friend Nick, who just got back from the marines, to his sister's house and partied it up there. It turned out that I was easily the youngest person there. Nick's sister is totally cool, but she is somewhere around 30, and most of the people there were about the same age. By the time anyone showed up I was drunk, so I didnt notice the surprising amount of older people. There was this one guy there who drove one of my all time top 5 cars, a Subaru Imprezza WRX. As it turned out, him and 3 other people there randomly decided to drive to Las Vegas at the end of the night in the guy's WRX. I couldnt believe it. Its a good 7 hour drive from San Diego to Vegas. At any rate, they bolted, and called us up at like 4:30 am yelling about how they were an hour away. It was punk mutha fuckin rock!
Yesterday I went to the World Famous San Diego Zoo with my mom, brother, grandpa, and grandma. I hadnt been in a long time, probably a good 5 or 6 years! It was pretty cool, and I got to test out my new camera. Nothing interesting, just a standard zoo trip.
As much as I enjoy hanging out with my friends here in San Diego, I am getting pretty excited about getting back up to SLO. What sucks is I have to work on saturday to make up for the half days I took on Christmas eve and new years eve, so I have to go back up on sunday. Anyways, main point of the story is that I cant wait to see all my SLO homies, and I will get to see Sara. T-minus 4 days and counting. . .
If you havent noticed, I havent been doing much social bloggin' lately. Its not that I dont read everyone on my list's blogs, I am just a lazy man, and I wouldnt expect anyone to do any linking of my blog unless they really want to, its only fair, right. Anyways, like I said, I dont SB much, but I got a christmas card from Rhian which I thought was absolutely awesome. It really made my morning when I saw it! I hope you as well have a happy and prosperous new years!
Anyhew... time to wrap this byatch up
I am really running on empty here... My life isnt interesting enough to fill up a lot of space. In fact, if you elimintate the total bullshit from the majority of my posts, you could probably sum everything up in a paragraph or less. hahahaha. What the fuck ever! :)
Take it easy y'all

All right... Its officially new years eve and I dont have much (read: anything) planned. hahaha. I would have liked to go up to San Luis Obispo for new years, but I cant afford another trip this break, so I am stuck here in San Diego. On a good note, this will be the last New Years I will be underage in. Next year I can go downtown to the bars and party it up there, or do any number of other things. But for now itll have to be getting drunk at my friends house and passing out. hahahaha.
This weekend was pretty interesting...
On Friday, I went and played Bingo at Viejas Casino. It wasnt just a random trip though. The parents of one of my best friends are like bingo-aholics. They go every week. So they enlisted us to go with them. I thought it would be pretty lame, but I wasnt doing shit else that night, so I figured this would have to suffice. Now dont get me wrong, it WAS lame. The whole room was a bunch of old people, and you cant talk very loud while they are calling out numbers. The other thing about it is how much mental power it takes. When they call a number you have to scan through like 12 sheets of random numbers for that number, daub that number out, and on top of that scan for the various possible bingos they have. I am a 20 year old man and I was having trouble keeping up... I dont know how these 80 year olds do it. Anyways, the coolest part about it is that almost every game has a $1200 pot for the winner. It was enough to keep me interested. My friend Dennis won $200 on the very last game. After that I went to the blackjack tables and lost 15 bucks in like 5 minutes and promptly quit. All in all I lost $30 bucks... not too shabby.
WHAT THE FUCK! I swear to god, there must be something about my work number that attracts fucking pushy bitches to call. I just got a call from some bitch who swore we were an insurance company. I answered the phone "Haggerty COMMUNICATIONS group, this is Matt" and she starts going off about needing some claim number cus her dad's 63 mustang caught fire. I kept telling her that I cant give her a claim number if I dont know what the fuck she is talking about. Then I asked her if she had the right number, and that must have touched a nerve in her infantile brain. In a really smart-ass tone she goes "YES, I looked you guys up on the internet!". Lord knows this fucking genious would never misdial a phone number, and god forbid listening to the company name of the place you called! At the end of the call, the dumb bitch goes "GoodBye! Thanks for your NO-HELP!", then hangs up like a fucking coward. I couldnt even go off on her. I had a good mind to *69 her and go off on her. But I decided to be the bigger man. This is the third call I have gotten like that since we moved to our new office. The first two were sure we were Washington Mutual, even though I answered the phone the same way for all three disgruntled callers. Anyways...
Yesterday I went and played disc golf. Its a total hippie game. Its just like regular golf, only you play with a frisbee and try to get it in a basket while avoiding lots of tree hazards. And there is usally a lot of weed involved. I dont smoke, so it didnt make a difference, but it was good fun nonetheless. The best part about it is that it only costs $1!!!! You cant beat that! It turns out that I am pretty decent at disc golf too. I think some of Danny's natural talent at being good at everything, referred to by many as the "__ - gene" (I'll let everyone who knows what I am talking about fill in the blank). Anyway, I think it is rubbing off on me. The last two things I did for the first time, snowboarding and disc golf, I have been pretty decent at.
Not much else happened, I think I am getting sick, so I just kinda bundled up and sat around the house watching TV, getting up only to use the bathroom, and once to call Sara. It turned out she had some people over at her house so I said I would call her later that night, but I decided to call today while at work. Gotta keep em guessin' you know!
OK, time to go do some real work until I get off today at 12:30 or so. Everyone have a safe new years, and I'll talk to everyone later.
Matt's Suggested CD:
Ozomatli (any of their CDs)
If you havent heard anything these guys have done, you are missing out. Its very original music. Somehow they combine Latin/rap/mariachi/etc. Its excellent.

I havent posted the last few days because I have been sucked into a pit of boredom so intense that I fear I will never escape. I need help from the lord of the rings! *FART NOISE*. Anyways, if you hadnt pieced it together, nothing happened around here. I went to work, I went home. Yesterday, however, I bought Friendly People by Guttermouth with my christmas gif card at the wherehouse. It was actually a very tough decision between that CD and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. I actually kind of regret picking hte guttertmouth CD cus Wish You Were Here is one of my all time favorite CDs. I let fate decide (I flipped a coin) and guttermouth won, so that was my choice. hahaha. After that a group of like 10 people went to Dennys. That was pretty fun. Tonight we are going to go to Viejas Casino, dressed in suits, like the money, like the bomb (Swingers quote... watch out). The plan is to act like we dont need the shit, then they give you the shit for free (two in a row... look at me go!). Anyway, that is the plan, itll be fun, and at the very least pathetically lame.
Thats all for now, gotta get to work here. Everyone take it easy

I hope everyone had a merry christmas, happy chaunukah, joyous kwanzaa, or whatever other holidays there are out there... I did. I'm not going to bore everyone with what I got, but overall, I would rate it a good christmas.
I didnt do much on the 24th after I left work. In fact, some might say I did absolutely nothing! I was just chillin' there, watching tv at around 10:30 or so, getting ready to fall asleep when I get a call from a couple of my friends. One was drunk and the other was driving her around, so they stopped by my house and we went around looking at christmas lights. It was actually pretty scary. They have these scary new christmas decorations, check it: Its like this wire-frame deer type thing with lights all over it, and the kicker is, IT MOVES!!! The friggin thing looks at you, its straight out of a horror movie. Anyways, that was that, yesterday was christmas, pretty self explanatory, I didnt do much of anything.
I found out a few of the bands on this years warped tour, and goddammit, its gonna be awesome. Bad Religion, NOFX, No Use For A Name, Alkaline Trio and Ozma. Its gonna be rad, I am especially stokin' about being able to see Bad religion twice in one year, duder.
One more thing before I get back to "spacing out" here at my desk, I gotta talk about this stupid friggin commercial I have seen the last few days. Its the ones Lexus has been putting out trying to get people to buy Lexus' for their family as a christmas present. The part that really pisses me off is the very last part of it. It shows these two parents with their teenage daughter sitting at the dinner table. The dad goes in this real fatherly tone "Well, we got you a new CD player..." and he opens up the drapes to show the new $45,000 Lexus he has just bought his stupid fucking teenage daughter. Jesus H. Christ, I want to punch something/someone every time I see that. If I ever had the money to just go ahead and buy my kid a Lexus, the thought wouldnt even cross my mind. Kids who have really expensive shit like that bought for them have absolutely no real life skills as far as dealing with money and then grow up expecting everything to be bought for them, just like daddy used to. I can understand wanting your kid to have a good car that they wont have to worry about fixing or anything, but no kid needs a goddamn lexus. Buy em a toyota or something. Or better yet, let them buy their own fucking car!!
Its kinda funny what gets me all riled up... some dad buying his daughter a car... hahahhaha... whatever
